The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa announces an open competition for the position of university professor in the group of full-time research and teaching positions at the Department of Security Sciences The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in art. 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571, as amended). A person holding a postdoctoral degree in the field of social sciences and scientific achievements influencing the development of the scientific discipline represented by the employee may be employed as a university professor in the group of research and teaching positions, i.e.:

 1. highly scored scientific publications with a national and international reach, included in parametric databases recognized by the ministry responsible for science and higher education; 

2. managing projects obtained in competitions for conducting scientific activities financed from external sources within the meaning of the Act, obtaining foreign or domestic scholarships;

3. significant achievements in the scope of organizational activity, i.e. organization or participation in the organization of conferences and scientific events important for the development of the discipline and having a social impact;

4. organization or participation in various forms of international cooperation;

5. a distinctive assessment of didactic activity confirmed by the vice-dean responsible for student and didactic affairs or possession of significant didactic competences that are significant for the scientific discipline represented by the employee and the didactics of the higher education institution in the field of study in which the employee will conduct classes.

In addition, candidates must meet the following conditions:

• completed higher education in security sciences or defense sciences;

• scientific achievements in the field of the represented discipline - security sciences, defense sciences in the form of original works

• experience in conducting classes in the field of international military relations, the Armed Forces in the security system of the Republic of Poland, internal security of the Republic of Poland, crisis management;

• demonstrating great commitment in teaching, organizational work and popularization;• good knowledge of English.
