Outline
The Applied Intelligent Engineering Systems Research Group at the Department of Engineering invites applications for Master’s and PhD positions in the fields of; precision agriculture, sensing and automation, intelligent machinery, digital and control systems or any related field. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to pursue their respective graduate studies qualifications while working with an engineering team to research and develop engineering systems applied in the field of agriculture. As graduate students, the successful candidates are expected to perform academic literature reviews, engage in field activities for data collection and testing and demonstrations, actively contribute to the development of the research projects, and be able to demonstrate their work through oral presentations and publications.

Eligibility
BSc.Mechanical, Electrical, Biosystems, or Agricultural Engineering;Computer Science, ICT, or Agricultural Science MSc. degree for PhD students
Meeting all the admission requirements to the graduate program in the Faculty of Agriculture.
Relevant research experience and knowledge about digital communication systems, agricultural machinery or machine vision will be considered as an asset.
Demonstration of oral and written communication skills and teamwork skills
The following qualifications will be considered as assets:
Programming skills
Experience in Hardware and Software development
Knowledge in crop production and experience in agricultural fields
Experience in mechanical drawing and device manufacturing
Exposure to big data analytics and/or deep learning algorithms
