Post-Doctoral Fellowships in Regenerative Medicine / Advanced Therapy Products

Two post-doctoral fellowships are available to work at the Department of Ophthalmology at the State University of Campinas's School of Medical Sciences (FCM-UNICAMP) in Brazil, under the aegis of a research project supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) through its Young Investigator Grant – phase 2 scheme and coordinated by Dr. Mônica Alves. The proposals involve evaluating new approaches in therapies based on cells, human tissues and tissue engineering for treating the causes of ocular surface diseases.

To apply, candidates must either have a PhD diploma or find themselves in the process of completing their PhDs, with training preferably in biological or biomedical sciences; have prior experience in cell biology, human cell culture, hemotherapy, immunoassays, human tissue banking, or cell and tissue engineering. The candidate must know GMPs (good manufacturing practices), good communication in English, and the ability to work in a team.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. Each selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 8,479.20 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
