Thesis in the field of Artificial Intelligence Research from February 2024

Aufgaben Mercedes-Benz Group AG is one of the most successful automotive companies in the world. With Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest suppliers of premium and luxury cars and vans.
As part of the Future Software & AI department, the AI Research Team researches current topics relating to artificial intelligence and applies the results to use cases from a wide range of specialist areas within the Group
We develop future concepts, technologies and components for Mercedes-Benz Cars and Mercedes-Benz Vans. We evaluate the latest technologies for our customers and for development. Our goals are innovative products of the highest quality and efficient development processes

You will face these challenges:

• Development of internal AI solutions such as virtual AI sensors for estimating non-measurable system states
• Development of learning approaches, particularly in the area of reinforcement learning
• Use of AI methods to reduce differences between simulation and reality
• Validation and comparison of the developed methods
• Completion of a master's thesis

The final topic will be determined in consultation with the university, you and us
Qualifikationen

• Degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, engineering, mathematics or a comparable course of study
• Experience in working with scikit-learn and ML frameworks (e.g. tensorflow, pytorch, stable baselines etc.)
• In-depth knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence (especially machine learning & deep learning & reinforcement learning)
• Strong Python knowledge and experience
• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
• Reliability and accuracy in the execution of work
• Confident knowledge of German and English
